The keyboard mapping issue where @ switches places with “ is a common issue for many UK users. It’s caused by the language input being set to English (US) instead of English (UK)
Here’s how to fix it on Windows:
1. Open Control Panel
2. Go to Clock, Language and Region
3. Select Language
4. Now click Add a language and locate English
5. Select it and choose English (United Kingdom)
6. Now select it and click ‘Move up’ and afterwards click remove on English (US)
Your keyboard should now be correctly mapped for the UK
