Not only have Lucidica worked for and presented seminars for the British Library for years, we are now a Corporate Partner of the British Library Business & IP Centre. This corporate partnership means we get to meet everyone from one-man-bands to successful start-ups years into their journey, all with great ideas and amazing ambitions.
The British Library is one of the largest libraries in the world. In March 2006 it launched the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) to open up even greater access to its £5 million pounds worth of up to the minute market intelligence, consumer data, and international trends analysis to help new businesses plan their launch, and to support existing SMEs to grow. Specialists in business information and intellectual property (IP) are always at hand to help new users find the killer statistic or gap in the market at the enquiry desk, and in workshops. Since the launch, over 700,000 entrepreneurs have used the Centre, with nine out of ten still trading after Year 3. Their alumni includes among many others, the founders of Ella’s Kitchen baby food, Tangle Teezer hairbrushes and the MOBO Awards.
